Georgia O’Keeffe’s House
Sarah and I have been a big fan of Georgia O’Keeffe for a long time now. This past June, we had the privilege of visiting her home in Abiquiu, New Mexico. Of course I had to take my camera. This style of photography was pretty new for me, but I’m really happy with the compositions I was able to find here. If you have the chance to visit her Abiquiu home, as well as the O’Keeffe museum showcasing her original works in Santa Fe, I would highly recommend it.
I also picked this book up from the gift shop. If you’re a photographer or other type of visual artist, this is a great insight into Georgia O’Keeffe’s creative mind, specifically in regards to her approach to composition and artistic form. Although she is primarily known as a painter, her photography shares the same intentionality in artistic vision. This book contains all of her known photographs.
