Coast Off, Coast to Coast
Last year, my good friend David (@davidmroller) let me shoot his band Coast Off in Cincinnati, which was a totally new style of photography for me. I’m hardly a live music photo veteran like photographer friend Harry (@long_shadow_photography). It’s such a tricky scenario, technically speaking, to try to balance shutter speed while keeping your ISO down. I was happy with the shots themselves, but I’m such a perfectionist with my own photos that I was pretty disappointed with all the noise when I went to edit. Lightroom has really upped their game with noise reduction capabilities since then, so I recently took another pass at editing the shots I took from the show. I’m (finally) really happy with the final results.
